“A4腰”早过时了，有这“三道弯”才叫美！

在中国的民族舞中，

有一种以孔雀为创作灵感的舞蹈——傣族孔雀舞。

生活在中国云南的傣族人民能歌善舞，

他们把孔雀视为象征吉祥的“圣鸟”，

傣族孔雀舞，是当地最负盛名的舞种。

相传在一千多年前，

傣族祖先模仿孔雀的姿态，

创造出了这种优美的舞蹈。

东汉时，

使者将孔雀舞传到了洛阳。

经过数代舞者的传承与发展，

形成了流传至今的傣族孔雀舞。

傣族孔雀舞以独舞为主，也有双人舞。

舞蹈强调手形的优雅和足部的灵巧，

提腕勾脚，屈膝出胯，

身体成优美的“S”形，

这就是孔雀舞经典的“三道弯”。

挺直胸背，扬起下巴，

步态轻盈稳健，

这是模拟孔雀在林中漫步；

时而抖肩，时而亮翅，

头颈灵动活泼，

这是效仿孔雀在水中嬉戏。

每逢当地传统节日，

人们就会打起象脚鼓，

吹起芦笙，敲响大锣

跳起这优雅的孔雀舞，

祈盼生活幸福美满。

傣族孔雀舞柔韧如水，挺拔如竹，

一舞千年，绵延不断。

中华五十六个民族各美其美，

传统的民族文化在传承中

不断焕发着新的生机！

Dai Peacock Dance

Among Chinese folk dances,

an ethnic one is inspired by peacocks - the Dai Peacock Dance. 

The Dai people living in southwest China’s Yunnan Province are good singers and dancers. They regard the peacock as an auspicious "holy bird", 

and the peacock dance is the most famous local dance.

More than a thousand years ago, 

Dai ancestors imitated the postures of peacocks and created this beautiful dance. 

During the Eastern Han Dynasty, 

an envoy brought the dance to the capital city Luoyang. 

Through the efforts of generations of dancers, 

the Dai Peacock Dance was formed and passed down to this day.

Most peacock dances are solos, but duets do exist. 

The dance emphasizes the grace of the hands and the dexterity of the feet. 

Twist your body into a beautiful "S-shape”, 

the classic "three curves" of the peacock dance. 

Straighten your chest, lift your chin, and walk light and steady gait -- this is to simulate a peacock walking in the forest; shake your shoulders, spread your arms, and turn your neck deftly -- this is to imitate a peacock playing in the water.

At every traditional festival, 

the Dai people will play elephant-foot drums, blow lushengs, ring gongs and dance this graceful dance, praying for a happy life.

Pliable as water and straight as bamboo, 

the Dai Peacock Dance has lasted a thousand years.

With the beauty of fifty-six Chinese ethnic groups,

new vitality has been growing out of the inheritance of traditional culture.
